‘Gift: Exhibition for the Monkeys’, 1992 records an exhibition that Shimabuku organised for the monkeys on “Monkey Mountain” in Kyoto, following the trend, “art for all”.

“When I went to the Monkey Mountain in Kyoto, I learned that sometimes, one of the monkeys picks up pieces of broken glass and stare at them. I decided to hold an exhibition for the monkeys.”
